1984 CR 125 R good for a learner bike?

I picked it up for 120$, with piston and sleeve replacement, plus cosmetics and registration, it came out to 400$. I'm 5'10" and weight 165 lbs. I rode a dirt bike twice and wonder if this is a good leathers bike or I should sell it.
