How can i improve my Listening? ?

I'm an American English learner and i am good at English. But, unfortunately, i limp along in the term of listening. When i'm listening to a movie or a doentary, i just understand %40 of them, of course the hardest ones. How can i make this weakpoint into a strong suit? I'll b grateful if u could help me :-)
