Is it legal to carry a bo staff in PA?

Just a question on the legality of carrying a bo staff for protection in PA, I don't want to carry a weapon like a gun or knife since I don't want something that is designed for killing and I'd rather go with a bo staff since I know how to use it and it's generally a nonlethal defensive weapon.
