17 in Missouri and want to move out?

I'm 16 but will be 17 in July. I am wanting to move out of my mom's house because of my step dad. When I turn 17 I will be in the National Guard and was told that when I'm in the military I'm an adult and don't have to have parental consent. I was wanting to confirm it. I was also wondering what if its not true or I don't enlist do I have to be emancipated to legality leave?
